Youth and Family Resources is a youth development program that began in 2007 and serves students in grades 5th thru 12th in Smith County Tennessee and is 100% free. Our non-profit organization is a NETWORK of staff members, community volunteers, Smith County Health Department, businesses, partnerships with city leaders, local churches, Civic Organizations, SCDPC, and our Smith County Schools. We are located in one of the historical buildings right off the square in Carthage where we hold after school programs Monday thru Thursday and on select weekends. The Spot provides a safe place for youth to be themselves, to learn, and grow, and to build skills to make positive decisions with their future in mind.
Youth and Family Resources is based on the belief that, given guidance and support from caring adults, all youth can grow up healthy and happy, making positive contributions to their families, schools, and communities.
The future success of all Tennesseans depends on the investment we make in children today.
