Our Volunteers
All of the teens that are in our care are supervised by a group of caring, adult staff and volunteers. Every volunteer goes through a background check and training. There is a ration of 1 adult for every five students. We currently have between 75-100 students that attend The Spot through various programs and reach hundreds each week in school classrooms. The Spot reached more than 1,000 students in the 22-23 school year.
Resources
40 Developmental Assets – The Developmental Assets® are 40 research-based, positive experiences and qualities that influence young people’s development, helping them become caring, responsible, and productive adults. These are both internal and external assets. External assets are built through families, schools, churches, and community.
